How to fill the PockeX

Thanks to an easy top-fill design, you can fill the PockeX tank without having to remove anything but the drip tip. To fill the Pockex simply unscrew the top, insert e-liquid into the tank, and re-seal the top by screwing it back into place:

• Unscrew the top from the device.
• Fill the tank with e-liquid until the liquid reaches the "MAX" line.
• Re-screw the top back onto the device and tighten it by hand.
• When filling for the first time, ensure to stand the device upright for a few minutes before vaping to prime the coil.

Aspire PockeX Overview

Featuring a dual indicator light, you can clearly view the battery level of the PockeX at a glance. When the blue light is displayed there is more than 30% battery remaining, with the red light indicating less than 30% battery level.

Compatible with PockeX coils, you have a choice between 0.6ohm and 1.2ohm resistance. Built with food-grade stainless steel with kanthal coil design, the PockeX provides the perfect balance between flavour and vapour.

Thanks to a single-button design, the PockeX is built with simplicity in mind. To turn on the device press the fire button five times in a row, with the same again to turn it off. Once on, simply press the button and inhale from the mouthpiece to vape.

A transparent e-liquid window at the top of the device allows you to clearly view how much e-liquid you have remaining and when it's time to re-fill. Never hit a dry vape again thanks to the PockeX design.

The PockeX introduces a simple top-filling mechanism to provide a mess-free experience. Aspire PockeX Vape Review

Hello everybody, Gareth here with an updated review on the latest edition of the PockeX vape kit by Aspire. You'll most likely have seen, heard of, or vaped this device, after all, it's been around since early 2016 which brings it close to a decade! Created by leading manufacturer Aspire, this device has lasted the test of time alongside many other vape kits they've launched and stopped creating over this time.

The PockeX offers an excellent Mouth To Lung (MTL) vaping experience that is great for beginner vapers, with that in mind, it doesn't mean that it's not great for experienced vapers either. Built on simplicity and portability, the PockeX is a device that somehow always manages to stay on trend and relevant regardless of how the vape industry moves.

We received the latest version of the PockeX so thought it's a great time to revisit our previous reviews and adapt it to the latest improvements by Aspire, including Type-C charging and their anniversary gradient colours.

First Impressions

On first unboxing the Aspire PockeX you're met with what you'd expect from Aspire, the pen-style pod kit along with additional coils, manual, and warranty card, this time with a USB Type-C cable replacing what was the micro USB. Regarding the device itself, there's not much you can really do regarding shape with a pen style device. Although stating this, the brushed stainless steel is sleek and well designed with a non-removable black slim-lined Delrin drip tip sized similar to that of a cigarette.

With no overly complicated buttons or display, the PockeX has one well-placed fire button which is a little rattly but nothing too off-putting, in fact it's a lot more rigid than earlier versions which is a great plus. The hold of the device is very comfortable and ergonomic with its round shape that doesn't slip in the hand.

With the upgraded Type-C port placed on the side of the device, it removes the old position of the micro USB which was on the base. This upgrade makes it much easier to keep the device upright whilst charging which is another win from Aspire.

Moving onto the tank, it fits perfectly with the core device with nothing protruding to create a flush design throughout with no sharp edges with nothing new to mention. The glass is clear which makes it very easy to view both your e-liquid level and the cotton in your coil so you should notice when the lifespan is coming to an end.

Delving deeper into the operation, there isn't really much to highlight. Aspire has really maintained the simplicity of the device with the "if it isn't broke don't fix it" with the same single fire button design which I love. Simply press the fire button five times in quick succession to turn the device on and off and once to fire the device, that's it!

Aspire has also implemented battery power indications within the fire button itself with a colour glow around the button. If the colour is blue when you press the fire button the device has over 30% power and when it's less than 30% the colour changes to red.

In addition, the PockeX also has inbuilt safety protection. Most importantly, the device has a cut-off at 10 seconds, which means that you can only hold the fire button down for 10 seconds before it will stop, this is particularly useful if you haven't turned off the device and it gets caught in your bag or pocket and overall prevents the additional possibilities of a dry hit. The device also performs the same cut out if there are any possible short circuits which is excellent safety-wise!

So with the main upgrades highlighted along with the same great features maintained from Aspire, it's important to look into how the latest PockeX version performs.

How does the PockeX vape?

The Aspire PockeX kit used to come with two 0.6ohm coils however to much delight, it now comes with both the 0.6ohm and the 1.2ohm coil which definitely caters to more preference. In addition, this is also great for beginner vapers. It's a great start for those new to vaping to understand their preference and requirements before delving deeper into the vaping world!

To keep the review fair across the board, I tested both coils for the PockeX with one of my favourites, Blueberry Sour Raspberry by Bottle Mary. The 50/50 blend of PG and VG seemed like the perfect choice for this kit. I usually vape 20mg strength so I tried with this, although all Bottled Mary e-liquids are also available in 10mg nic salt strength.

1.2ohm Coil

The 1.2ohm coil is one of the latest for the Aspire PockeX, after letting the coil soak up the e-liquid, I got to testing.

The vapour production is similar to that you would be used to on a cigarette, which for beginner vapers is all you really need to be fair. Flavour wise you could fully taste the full profile of the e-liquid, I got the flavour of the blueberry on inhale which was met with a refreshing sour raspberry on the exhale. The vapour wasn't particularly overly warm but provided a great well-rounded flavour throughout.

0.6ohm Coil

The original 0.6ohm coil has been around since the start of the PockeX back in 2016. Once again after letting the e-liquid embed itself within the coil I began testing.

There are two noticeable differences with the 0.6ohm coil when compared to that of the 1.2ohm. Firstly the vapour is significantly warmer, which definitely opened up the blueberry inhale more and was met with the same great exhale of sour raspberry notes. Most notably, there was more vapour production which definitely didn't take away the flavour. The 0.6hom coil actually replicated a decent Restricted Direct To Lung (RDTL) experience which I didn't expect, especially with no airflow control.

Final thoughts

Overall the PockeX Kit by Aspire is a decent all-around everyday vape device that is perfectly aimed towards beginner vapers. Although this pen-shaped kit has been around for some time, with the latest improvements it's still a firm contender against the latest pod kits. If you're new to vaping and want a device to keep you going throughout the day without any over complicated controls then I cannot recommend the Aspire PockeX enough as a beginner-friendly vape kit.

• Sub-ohm or cloud-chasing vaping requires a high amp rating (20A or more).
• MTL or nicotine salt devices work safely with moderate amp ratings.

To find your safe charging current, move the decimal point three places to the left in your battery’s mAh rating.
Example: 3500mAh = 3.5A maximum charging current.
Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and never exceed the recommended charge or discharge rate.

When charging:
